The Dashboard

Blog / 3. May 2018

You all know (and – let’s be honest – probably love) our gantt chart view. It’s sleek, colorful and sexy. But Agantty is more than just this chart overview.

The secret star

Just as our gantt charts are great to see the development of multiple projects as a whole and plan tasks for your teams, the dashboard is perfect for keeping track of your tasks. But let’s start at the beginning. How do you even get there?

Simple enough:

In the top left corner you can easily switch the view – all day long

Range

On the top you can change the range you want to look at. Your options are just today, the current week, the whole month or select a custom range.

Overdue

First thing you  (hopefully don’t) see now are the overdue tasks. I know, time is short and most of the time shorter than you planned. No shame in having some tasks pile up here. Agantty exists to help you learn from mistakes, plan a bit better every time and to keep track of everything for you.

You can collapse the overdue tasks if they annoy you too much.

After the overdue tasks you can see all the tasks that are due in you selected time range, divided either in the individual projects or by days (more on that just a bit further down) – all color-coded to match the project color. You can also see the user the task is assigned to and the time left to do it.

The checkbox on the left side is to mark the tasks as done.

Milestones are marked with a little flag.

Filters

If you feel like getting lost in all the projects, users and tasks you can set filters to specify what you want to see.

Projects and user are fairly self-explanatory, view options has filters for milestones, finished tasks or tasks that are not assigned or not terminated.

Last but not least you can decide if you want the view to be divided into individual projects or if you prefer all projects mixed but divided in individual days.

Why have a dashboard view at all?

Glad you asked. A lot of team members may not even have to have the complete overview over the project – sometimes they don’t even have the rights to see a lot of stuff that is planned. So for the individual employee the dashboard can give you all the information you need – in a well sorted list.
